Ed Sheeran. The more popular he got the more commercial and generic his music has become.

I was thinking the same thing. A small number of ignorant camper van owners, dumping stuff in laybys, getting the long term owners a bad reputation.

Everything is ruined by popularity. Popularity makes it almost impossible to hang onto the uniqueness that made it popular. It's a bit like being promoted from a job you love. Being successful normally means you're not doing what you love anymore. It's the same.

That is true about almost everything once big companies get their greedy and grubby and on something.

Gyms. Only heightened by the social media influencers who use stupidly good lighting and angles to give others unrealistic expectations of what they can achieve

That’s true. I do remember Ed saying he was only doing one more pop album and then he was going back to the music that made him famous… I think that was 3 albums ago

I’ve never been a massive fan of his but his early stuff was at least a bit different to other music in the charts.

The Lake District. It's just got far too busy in weekends, especially in peak summer.

Are we all hipsters? Not liking things because they’re mainstream or popular?

The countryside. Always felt like I had it to myself as a kid, but now it's rammed with tourists.
