Ladies, 'Genitalman', Binaries and Whateveries...
Do you have a dressing table? Is it a focal point for the bedroom or do you just unceremoniously grab your grooming products from a drawer or a box and just 'get on with it'?
Alternatively is your dressing table a symbolic representation of your meticulous self?
Is it neatly festooned with all your lotions, potions, creams/cremes, apothecaries, scents and colognes, combs and brushes, feel-good products and other paraphernalia?
Or do you keep it all soooo minimalistic? |

I’m allowed a corner of a draw. In between my socks and y-fronts collection.
That’s where you’ll find my bottle of Brut, tin of Lynx Africa, and tub of hair gunk. |

No. Generally, I wear shirts, so they're off the hanger and away. Same with trousers. Haven’t got time to sit and pontificate, and frankly, I could use a ton of polyfilla, nowt is improving my face. |

I do yes! It’s a white wood and mirrored dressing table which sits beneath an large ornate silver mirror
The dressing table is home to a tall silver and crystal lamp with a black and white lampshade ( you can see it in the background of something me of my pics)
It’s more of a statement than functional |

No, I have a mirror to do my hair in and make up but that sits on my windowsill. My room has chests of drawers in it, but the tops are cluttered (that’s my hoarding making an appearance!) and I don’t have the room for a proper dressing table.

I have a dressing room with a dressing table in it
Mainly did that to keep all my make up, shoes and handbags in one place and to stop my 2 grown up daughters helping themselves to my things whenever they feel like it. I’m the only one to go in there
Oh and means our bedroom stays clutter free

@Sozey: doesn't your Brut clash with your Lynx? |

I have a retro dressing table with curvy legs and a large mirror which my mother bought and did up for me. I'd never owned one before. It is festooned with beautifying balms arranged in near little containers. It brings me joy. |

We have an IKEA dressing table. Our son lovingly put together the mirror for it one day after school, when I was heavily pregnant. It's used mainly to plonk my folded clothes on, plus hairbrushes and a few bits and pieces. The drawer has a random array of things in it - travel plug adaptors, luggage tags, a mosquito zapping thingy, some old family letters and postcards, some hair decorations from when I had longer hair, old makeup that needs to go in the bin, some medication. |

"I’m a rubbish girl. I have an empty dressing table in my bedroom and I do my makeup and perfume in my kitchen.

You don't need any make-up

I’m shameless and rarely bother. But yes I absolutely do. |

"I have a large oak dresser rather than a dressing table in my room - mostly because there's no room in this house for it to go anywhere else. It's full of lingerie!

May I please linger near your lingerie? |

I do. It's not a focal point. I didn't used to have one but I'm starting to get a bit old for sitting on the floor in front of the mirror. Mine looks tidy as everything is away when it's not in use but the drawer in it is kinda carnage |
