Why would you worry a out one persons opinion ?
Jodie built an amazin body but it was just way to muscular for me, it would take average people like us ages to build that , she had expert help and meals sorted .
Also your doing cycling and running so your not gonna build much muscle doing that, that's anti muscle building training.
You should try kettlebells and body weight movements .
I think there are a few classes down your way that specialise in them, you should look them up . |

Cleaning the bar from the floor onto your chest, then pressing it up over your head to the highest point will work every muscle in your body to some degree - lifts like deadlift and squat allow you to use more weight, but they won't hit as many muscles at once as the military press. |

Military press = killer.
I have a love affair with the gym, I do a lot of weights, I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near the likes of Jodie Marsh in terms of muscles but I am quite defined.
Keep fit, doing weights is a part of my life I love and now I'm training for a marathon, I've upped my running too. |

I've got some decent muscles but most of them are buried under a coating of 3ft of fat.
My calf muscles are ace - they're somewhat visible in the photo of me in the purple stockings. My quads are good too, and my traps and delts.
My core really lets me down, as well as my upper body strength. I think my triceps may actually be missing, (yes, yes, I know they can't be).
I know how to fix it (shedding the fat now, much to my eternal grumpiness) but it's a long haul kinda thing. |

Press ups maybe? You can do them pretty much anywhere, they'll work your shoulders, triceps, pecs and your core. |

But that's not a military press , a military press doesn't involve takin anything from the floor after the 1st time you lift it off the floor ?!
Your static in a military press and if you do them seated as many do your not using your legs or core , your working your deltoids ? !
Not being picky , just think you've got the name wrong , clean and press may be what your thinking of ? |

I have to confess to admiring women with a muscle... obviously us girlies dont bulk up like guys and it take a whole lotta time effort and dedication to come anywhere close to what Jodie marsh did ... and I'd LOVE to look like that unfortunately the I devote too much time to wine and not enough time to the weights , hey ho... |

The 'military press' gets its name simply from being used as a basic test of strength in the military, as opposed to the common misconception of performing it with your heels together as though standing to attention.
Your deltoids are used whenever you push an object away from your body, so performing presses seated or standing will work them - the reason its better to stand is that it better strengthens your core muscles. |

Never heard of anyone trying it with there heals together .
If you do it seated as many do ,then it's principally a delts move , which is why people do it seated,I know you'd use your core If you did it standing but your previous post stated lifting it from the floor to above your head and using EVERY muscle , if you went in any gym and asked someone to do ten military presses , they would lift it from the floor once only and you wouldn't be using your leg muscles at all after that apart from standing on them ?

Ah, I should have specified that you don't have to clean it from the floor with every rep, just the initial one to get started - though yes, if you cleaned it every rep that would be a set of clean and presses, but a set only done down to the chest and up over the head repeatedly whilst standing would be the military press I was referring to. |

Military press doesn't work all your body it mostly a shoulder movement that also works your core..
Clean and press from the floor is full body |

I prefer the look of a fitness model, or even the bikini class to that of the bodybuilder class of ladies, although on the right lady even the lighter class of bodybuilding can look really sexy. I also like full curves on a lady. It does really depend on their body type, and the way they carry themselves. |

We really admire women with muscle and definition, though prefer the trained figure class type to the heavier physique class but that's personal preference.
Either way, it shows the woman has a lot of focus, willpower and fortitude to go for and get the look she wants.

not keen on muscles or definition on women but am with you on the man front
not too much tho, natural definition wins out for me every time than someone that looks like they have had to work at it
the whole 'ripped' thing doesn't do it for me

I've never been with a muscley woman, but do find it a turn on to be honest. There's a porn star called Janet Mason who was also a fitness bodybuilding competitor and aside from the mega tan she would defo get it!
Plenty of other sexy bodybuilders or fitness models.
I don't really have a type so muscley women, bbws, regular sized women, if you're hot you're hot. |

When Trace was competing I used to tan her up backstage.
It was always a communal changing/pump up area and many times women, who had no one with them, would ask if I'd tan them up too.
90% of the time they'd be completely naked while being tanned, yeah I now it was a terrible job but I like to be helpful lol.
The funny thing was I was only really interested in doing a good job on the tan, until I thought about it later.

I am defined/muscular, I was a semi professional athlete for a number of years and always been very sporty.
My Mum has always told me that I have rugby players legs, I also have big biceps for a woman and well defined deltoids & very strong stomach muscles, however to me I do not look out of proportion and still look feminine.
I think a defined/toned lady looks far better than the body builder type, I personally do not think it looks very feminine.
Freelove what muscles are you trying to build up then? Your arms?
