Freddy for me. I’m not even a massive Queen fan but his performance at Wembley will never be bettered.

David Bowie - "Can't Explain"

Love the guitars at the beginning & the dirty sax sound. Bang on!

Scorpion's do a good version of Can't Explain too. But they're still alive...

Lennon, it’d be interesting to see what music he would have released over the last 40-odd years. So many questions remain unanswered, would he have worked with McCartney again? Before George Harrison’s death would the Beatles reform?

I initially wanted to say Freddie, but then I'd love to know what Nirvana would've gone on to do had Kurt not decorated the wall. Now this would probably mean no Foo Fighters, so I really am undecided. Too much thinking for a Saturday morning. Christ! I can't even pick just one song, I'm going back to bed.

I'm going in a different direction and say Michael Jackson. I grew up listening to his music and trying to perfect his moonwalk (still a working progress lol)

Worthing

They have done their work and left a huge legacy. I don't think it would be fair to just bring one back. Better we have them all in our memories still bringing happiness to everyone.

Had a think.... how about the song "Under pressure" as the two get to sing?

That way you could have Freddie Mercury & David Bowie.

Two for the price of one?

One of the best songs ever recorded, for my money. Moving, dramatic, pertinent still. The emotion packed into its few minutes...

Can't we give ourselves one more chance indeed?
