Whether losing weight, just keeping fit, training for an event/competition or sport.

How did it go?

Good, bad, indifferent, it's all work in the bank.

Nothing major of note from me. All moving well enough, easy 170kg x 3 bench just keeping that ticking over while bringing squats and deads back up.

Mine sucked a bit. I got a bit cocky and ambitious while attempting 1RM on bench DL and squat. Failed at all three. Lessons learnt, head wobbled, live to fight another week.

Slacking, slacking, slacking, slacking, the best chest day I’ve had in months. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Next Door

I've struggled for a few days, with my back.

Had a massage on Wed evening, then had a good weight day on Thursday.

Still feeling the dogs in my arms

I’m too scared to try a 1RM on a squat. Last time I failed one I had to roll the bar over my neck and dive out the way. The last time I ever did it without the safety bar things.

North West

Failure. Mr KC started puking on his way home so I had to skip gym and come home to do mum stuff. Had to miss playing basketball matches last weekend because our daughter was doing the puking and missed training last night because I had to drive up to Cumbria

Does 30 mins on the cross trainer watching Netflix count?

Followed by random things I have no clue about on my multigym?

Not been very motivated this week ngl, felt like shit yesterday and had to push myself to go, but glad I went.

Not sure if I felt shit because I hadn't been to the gym or whether it was genuine lethargy

Tomorrow is another day I guess

In the west.

I just started back after 3 months so I took it easy. I had 3 one hour sessions and a night out running. My core certainly knows it's had a workout.

Really isn't much need to 1 rep max for the large majority of people.

Even when competing I don't, I base max weights off a 3-4 rep RPE 9 set, much safer IMO.

Stockport

Rubbish here too. I've got tendinitis in my ankle so I've had to pull out of a trail marathon tomorrow. Been doing lots of yoga, foam rolling and physio exercises.

On the plus side, I'm going to an all-day festival tomorrow instead

Swimming, swimming and more swimming. My foot has been shoot for the last few weeks. It's just nice to be able to do something. A week in Gran Canaria next week, so more swimming. Then maybe tentatively back to the gym the week after that.

The golden rule is just do something (rather than nothing). So yes totally counts.

I mostly only do sets of 5 with the big lifts anyway but it feels good to squat a higher number. I always 1RM deadlifts though but that’s because I’ve got very poor grip strength and my grip fails when doing more than 3 reps.

I've had an awesome week!!

6 classes - step /toning /dance

And i restarted my weights programme... I am so proud of myself for plucking up the courage to go into the weights room! My damaged shoulder feels amazing already, so much freer

I do 3 sets x 8 reps and i did my programme 4 times this week :

Arm pull x 40kg

Leg press x 160kg

Bicep curls, chest press, flys on my back and skull crushers x 7kg

And shoulder press x 6kg
