Never broken a bone in my life, though the other half has broken his ribs twice, his knuckle, his toe and a leg. Are you as lucky as me or a walking accident like him. |

They’re awful cos you can’t do anything about it and the fear of the repeat injury is ridiculous |
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big) | |
I raced motorbikes at a relatively good level which caused most of mine.
C4 fracture stopped that but was surprisingly not that painful.
Most painful ‘bone’ injury that wasn’t a break was dislocating my ACJ when shattering collarbone for the first time..

Does it count if you broke somebody else's?
My eldest and I were both in the same inflatable ball thing that float on water and she thought it was hilarious to keep making me fall until I fell back and landed on her arm. We literally heard the bones snap! Four days in hospital and a specialist had to be called in for the surgery as it was a proper job! She now calls me the bone breaker!
You can even hear the break on the video that Mr was taking of us "having fun" |

Mr, none.
Mrs has had quite a few over the years. The joys of horse ownership and crazy nights out with the girls |

I have nothing to compare it too but the pain was brutal as was the repair surgery and rehab.

Ouch! It can happen so easily. All OK now?
I had to have metal plates and pins in mine because the bones snapped clean, lucky it didn't break through the skin
18 months of physio 18 months of none weight bearing exercise
I slipped stepping into a minibus on my way home from my works leaving party it was icy and I fell back trapping my foot inbetween the bus and edge of the pavement. Heard a big crack and knew I was in trouble
Turns out my ex boss was spiking my drinks with vodka.... and I don't drink

"Never broken a bone in my life, though the other half has broken his ribs twice, his knuckle, his toe and a leg. Are you as lucky as me or a walking accident like him. "
When I started this thread I never expected so many people to have broken so many bones, I honestly thought it would have just been a few, thanks all for sharing. |

We know a guy who slipped when getting off the coach when arriving at his ski resort.
He spent the next 10 days in plaster while his friends were out on piste.
Poor guy. |
