I tend to say ‘hello’ then realise I look stupid, but it’s just a reactionary think I can’t help.

Yes obviously.....

I also talk to my dog quite a lot. Which is fine at home but maybe less so when I'm out and about. He is also a pug so always looks slightly grumpy and confused. Fitting maybe.

Well they see my teeth but I wouldn't say it's a smile. They scare the s***e out of me.

If you don’t smile at dog you’re a sociopath.

End of story.

"Without fail, they are so much better than people"

Yes, I always talk to them too. I feel lost since our dog died on Christmas Eve, but she had a great life, was always happy, lived to a great age, and was active and healthy until the day before, but it was heartbreaking.

Yes I smile and say “hi puppy” if I’m walking past and if I’m in the car and they are across the street I even wave at them.

Remind me again why I’m single …

This.

I had the joy of meeting four spaniels at work the other day, two adults and two young-ish pups. I’d just finished fussing over them and a lady came up with a ten week old Labrador puppy asleep in her arms. Perfect day.

Folk around Soze Manor look at you like you’re insane or with total horror if you dare to say ‘good morning’, let alone smile at their dogs, so I tend to feign indifference, but smile inside.

Dogs are cool beans.
