Watched a bit of it when this all kicked off. Couldn't have been any more pro Russia if they tried. Even got to the stage where their reporters were calling areas "peoples republics" so as to justify Putins invasion. |

"Good riddance to the nasty propaganda."
Absolutely.
Saying that in the war of propaganda, I bet MI6 had someone watching ever word of it and what was written between the lines.
"Know Thy enemy" is a famous paraphrase...
The Art of War, written by ancient military strategist Sun Tzu in the 5th century BC, is famed for the phrase “know thy enemy.” The full passage: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” |

Oh, absolutely. And I bet they still do. But it's not so good for polluting minds in general. (not that in my limited experience with it, it's all that good. I read a few articles and what I saw were arguments that didn't follow littered with factual errors. A bit like the Nigerian emails - aim at the easiest prey) |

"So Putin's TV channel is now off air.
Did anyone else notice it vanishing this afternoon?
Fake news and propaganda is not on OFCOM's wish list."
Actually… OFCOM, whilst opening 27 separate cases of breaching impartiality rules, had nothing to do with what happened…..
And before you blame the uk government… not them either!!!!
Some people are so quick to rush to judgment!!!
So what actually happened is because sky get the RT feed via a Luxembourg satellite distributor, they actually fall under the EU sanctions rules so when those sanctions which the European Commission announced Saturday went official, which was at 4pm today… the company complied, and the feed went off at 5pm
So… thanks your friends in Brussels… |

"That's a familar quote, as the Gov wanted to do it, but that smacked of censorship, so they let their quango do it instead..."
Well no, it was the French, they stopped transmitting via their satellite |

I think its important to have r t broadcast it enables use to see the
Rubbish that the Russian are been fed granted like us and all other country's news outlets they pump out stuff to show their country in a good light . but think of the bombing and devastation rained on Iraq based on a lie . rt the other day showed the united nations debates and showed both side . so turning
off isn't a productive move .but another point in this war over 146 country at the un support Ukraine then all those countries armys should come to the aid of Ukraine .in my view instead of us watching war on TV as spectator sport .but think its important to know what thy enemy is thinking and doing and telling its people. |
