I know its october but i like to plan these things early.. before my daughter i had black tree with silver and purple decorations NO TINSEL anywhere on my tree..
but since having her ive moved onto a green tree (fake) with co ordinating multi coloured decorations and glitterballs.. jazzy lime green, turquoise, magenta pinks, rich purples. its got beads, glitter snowflakes etc.. all within the same colour schemes.
You a mix n match kinda person or everything has to co ordinate??

Green tree and some decorations that I have had for years and years.
The angel I made at school years ago lol
Tinsel to co-ordinate on the tree in colour order.
I like flashing coloured fairy lights, white, and plain coloured lights.
Some of my decs are themed, got them in Florida

Green artificial tree, baubles mostly red and green and gold, gold tinsel and white lights.
I love having my tree up and since I'm not home a lot I put it up at the beginning of December so I can enjoy it.
I got a cheap artificial one when the cats were kittens cos I wasn't sure if they'd try to eat or climb it. They did neither (just play with the baubles) and it's such and effective one I still use it 11 years later! |

We've had two trees for the last few years. A green one, with classic red and gold decorations, thick tinsel, plain lights and has to be absolutely perfect. Then we have a white one for the kids, with coloured lights and all manner of things on it including vintage decorations and their own unique 'first Xmas' baubles on it x
Love, love, love Xmas time xxx |

And I did once buy a big set of lights that went through a sequence of flashing.
But they were really irritating so they are on my brother's tree now (who always has a real one) and I stuck with plain white, non flashing. |

"Far to early in the year for this kinda nonsense... anybody want a humbug???"
I'll have two please !
Not had a Christmas tree (or decorations) for the last 12 years.
The cards go up Christmas Eve and come down the day after Boxing Day.
In fact, keep the humbugs, I'm gonna go and buy a bag of me own |

I've never had a Christmas tree, nor decorated my home.
I don't do Christmas cards either.
I'd like to go to my parents' place for Christmas this year but I can't as I have cats to look after. Last year was the same. |

I fucking hate Christmas, well its probably just the 'trimmings' and bollocks that comes with it and the stupid questions.
'Are you all set for Christmas' - Fuck, shit, no, whats happening this year I havent seen the news.
If it wasnt for the fact Im a Dad, Id go abroad and escape it all or better still, work the day and rake it in |

Oh and i always use plain fairy lights " Not thinking about it until December but it will be once again a real tree with nothing but white lights and few decorations - I am a bit of a minimalist and don't really like colour on x mas trees . |

"No tree here. I go to Scotland every year for Xmas and decorate my mums tree for her.Lucky lucky lady! "
I can't let her do it as she overloads it with so much crap it will fall over. She hasn't got the hang of tastefully decorating the tree |

"Mines big and green, it sparkles in the light and has two massive baubles
Is it a real one that you need to keep in a moist bucket?"
Yes it helps it grow, and by jingo it needs some help these days |

Watch it doesn't grow too big or you will need a bigger bucket. |

Always a real tree - we go and cut it in the local forest,
Simple gold and red tinsel with white lights, and silver baubles, and wooden decorations.
Very traditional, and probably quite boring
Oh, and Santa has to have a mince pie, malt whiskey, and a carrot for Rudolph |

Does it need pruning? |

No it's well trimmed, just needs a woman's touch now and again |

If Christmas dinner is at mine then it's a 5ft green (artifical) tree, decorated in red and silver, with red and white lights.
This year though (as I will be away), it will be a 2ft LED tree, even though the bloody transformer drives me mental with the whirring noise as the lights change colour. |

Aren't you a little ray of sunshine?
I LOVE Christmas. We have 2 trees. The one in the dining room is a slim, black artificial one with white led's and traditional wooden ornaments (soldiers, trains, rocking horses etc).
The one in the living room is real, with multicoloured led's, and jewel coloured baubles (pink, purple, gold, green, blue) no tinsel. |
