People of fab I'm cleaning up my lifestyle with regards to food because I'm not particularly overweight and have quite a fast metabolism I tend to eat what I like when I like and as I get older my energy levels and mood vary quite a lot.

What I'm after is an abundance of energy with a calm outlook on life

Maybe that's too much to ask but you never know

What are you "macrobiotic" or other clean foods , drinks and general life hacks that you swear by ?

Hot water and lemon daily. Limit dairy, carbohydrates and cut out sugar. Drink plenty of water and eat/blend fruits, vegetables and salads. Add seads and nuts. Get regular exercise and most importantly do it for yourself!

Good luck.

Cleansing/detox foods is a bit of a myth really. You just want a balanced diet with enough vitamins and fibre. Certain foods such as natural yoghurt and fermented foods are also good for gut bacteria.

Your liver is all you need to 'detox' and you can keep it working nicely by avoiding alcohol and carbs, both can cause fatty liver desease.

Other than that, eat whole vegetables and fruit (don't juice them and limit the fruit as fructose is metabolised into triglycerides by the liver) dump seed and vegetable oils and don't be afraid of sat fat.

Lemongrass is also really refreshing. Just chop it fine and put in a tea strainer. Amazing hit or iced.

What topsy said. Avoid juicing as you damage a lot of the vitamins you think you get and you remove dietary fibre.

Cut out as much processed food as possible. Loads of water. Sleep. If cooking with oils, stick to olive oil, coconut oil, butter and avocado oil.

This. Most detox chat is utter pish.

Your liver and kidneys kinda take care of this 24/7.

Walk outside whenever possible.

Try and meditate or practise mindfulness (even just for 10mins a day). Loads of apps available to help you with this.

Enjoy exercising for the way it makes you feel and the sense of accomplishment it gives you in your body rather than how it makes you look.

Don't listen to criticism from someone who you wouldn't go to for advice.

I second this,

I meditate twice a day for 30 mins each time

I got for a daily 30-60min walk

However, my diet is mainly plant based and I drink a lot of water

The best way to detox is to have a liver and kidneys. Any product saying "detox" is just trying to part you with your money.

As has everything I’ve stated above

HOWEVER, I slipped up and re-opened FAB

Oops, misread that, smacking and watching the box - that could help lose weight, especially with the reverberations earlier mentioned. . . .

That's sounds very interesting I've heard if you have a well balanced gut everything else falls into place
