I want to buy a top at £97 so I lend £50 off my mum and £50 off my dad.
I buy the top which leaves me £3 change so I give £1 back to my mum and £1 to my dad and keep a pound.
So I now only owe them both £49 each. 49+49=98 + the £1 I kept= £99.
So where's the missing £1?????? |

Btw
The £98 you owe your parents includes the £1 you kept because you only spent £97 on the item. The other £2 is what you gave back to them.
£97 + £1 (you kept) = £98 you owe
£2 of the £100 borrowed already repaid.
£97 + £1 (kept) + £2 (repaid) = £100

"Lol can I delete this now you've made me feel like a right plum "
Why? For repeating a post you didn't see? Hardly a plumesque action.
How many posts are repeated on here every day? And that one was what, 6 weeks ago? |
