its my 50th birthday next month and i am having a big party, is it a bit cheeky to put in my invitation "for those of you wanting to buy me a gift could i have a small cash donation instead ..to buy myself something really special "
im not being presumptious about the gifts because people usually do turn up with a little something,
i just thought if say on average 100 people gave me a fiver id have £500 to buy a really nice peice of jewellery x

my mum asked for money for her 50th as she was goin on a fly drive holidy to the states with a friend and needed some spending money
people werent offended or put out at all and she got a decent amount of money in the end |
