It’s so satisfying heating the whole house for 5p when gas costs so much. These six little blocks of supatherm are like mini nuclear reactors when they get going, we had to open the windows last night it was too hot. This isn’t the same stuff from the old days.

Who has a fire or stove ? Anyone have coal central heating ? How do you keep clean , this stuff is filthy ?

Might be the only source of fuel for your heating this year, best be getting to making sure you're on the naughty list.

Lot more than 5p to heat a house with coal prices off commercial coal is thought the roof

All so being faze out come 2023 the general public will not be able to by it

Also the government aren’t doing any grants or such for the people who still have coal heating

Ruffle going to cost 15k to change a house from coal to gas

Also people who were given free coal for life as a reterment package are being screwed over

the government aren’t even going to offer a by out off it

Just stops exiting

This subject is very close to my heart as someone in the family still has a full coal house

Heating and water is heated by coal and electric cooker

It’s funny how things come back in style that are clearly much lower quality , cassettes and vinyl , stove top coffee machines, coal fires.

I agree , two days of this I’m fed up , covered in soot and it’s hard work. Coal is dumped again , anyone want to buy 3/4 bag of supatherm ? It’s really good stuff….

No in a fire , my hands are just constantly black , there’s ash making it’s way onto the carpet and pressing the little button on the thermostat is much easier and quicker !

I’ll save it for romantic nights on a rug I think and start using the heating again the rest of the time

My house is heated by a rayburn and a stove. I use wood which I get free, supplemented with coal products in the depths of winter and wood fuel products.

The trick is to clean as you go. A quick sweep/hoover/mop after each fill or empty of the fire is easier than letting ash/soot/sawdust build up around and on the fire.

For blackened glass, just screw up a sheet of newspaper, dampen and dip in the Ash to scrub the glass.

It’s a filthy polluting fossil fuel and it’s getting banned.
