When I was a younger man and it pointed "straight up" when excited I had to have a "posh wank" to prevent getting it on my face.

As I've got older - or maybe through use - it sticks out at the more usual 90 degrees. So, it doesn't land on my face anymore and now the only time hitting the ceiling is considered a "bad toss" is pancake day.

Still, I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see it.
