"Staffordshire bull terrier, best dog in the world. Seem to live forever too ours is in his 19th year
I lost my staffy last year at age 18 "
That’s a fair old age too!! Ours just defies logic don’t get me wrong you can tell his old he’s gone whiter than white and things don’t bend the same, vet says he’s good so on he marches |

I've always had mongrels from the local pound, never looked for a specific breed.
That said I love ibizan hounds. They're gorgeous and such characters.
My dad had some greyhounds and they were fantastic dogs, really smart and loving, and made me fall in love with the breed. |

"As a kid mom and dad had grey hounds
Though if my son had his way I'd have a poodle ...lol
Personally I like Afghan hounds hard work but lovely dogs "
Sister and I both have long blonde hair. Our mother used to shriek ‘it’s like living with a pair of bloody Afghan hounds’! when doing the hoovering |

Wire Haired Fox Terriers never had one but used to walk one, he was brilliant loved him so much!
GSDs and their crosses (as mine was)
And the ones my friend has - one is a Eurohound (German shorthair pointer x huskey)
And her wee Spanish rescue mix could be something like Galgo x JRT. |

We had a beagle until last summer, until he sadly passed away
But now have a black Labradinger (mother is 1/4 springer, and dad a fox red lab) he looks just like a black lab except for four white paws and a white blaze on his chest

"What's your favourite or your top 3 breeds of dogs? "
I'd eliminate all selective breeding unless it was specific for working and pick up a rescue that was perfect for them, where I live and the family I live with. |

"I have a labrador and a spaniel! The labrador is more laid back x"
Anything is more laid back than a Spaniel lol.
My pal has a failed foster spaniel (Springer), poor thing spent most of his first year in a crate! He brilliant at training, now has a recalled but still doing her head in lol… he’s come close to being rehomed! Don’t think she will but that’s how bad it is. She had two other dogs too |

Not really a fan of specific breeds and all the associated medical problems they have thanks to generations of inbreeding. Now with the ridiculous prices of what are mostly puppy farms shocking!
I've wanted another dog for the best part of 7 years now, but with the state of breeding at the moment I just can't bring myself to further support the cruelty.
I'll take a mixed/cross breed any day. A dog is a family member. Not a status symbol. |
