"To be told they're sexy"
This, women want compliments,to be told they're beautiful/good looking, sexy etc. but in my experience they never reciprocate.
Mem want to hear the same things to.
I can count on one hand the times I've been told any of the above.
If she's with me then I guess she must think the above but it's still nice to hear from time to time.

It still surprises me when my partner gets this bashful grin on his face when I talk about how hot he is to me. Its cute though. Still trying to get him out the habit of always turning it back onto me. Let me fangirl over you for a bit! |

That makes me sad, I don't understand why women wouldn't say it to men.
I'm very much a "think it, say it" kind of a person. And I love the look on his face when I do

I don't particularly want compliments. I just feel uncomfortable with them. But I've tried really hard to give them often to men I am seeing. So they know I find them attractive. And think of themselves as attractive. I've had to push myself to do it as you're right - it doesn't come naturally for some woman. I give compliments to my boys as well. |

I’m very much a think it say it girl too, but for some reason I find it hard to compliment men. I find the language and Vocabulary around compliments is very male orientated so get stuck beyond sexy/hot/handsome. Any ideas welcome as I’d like to do more, it’s so nice to get a compliment!!

I don't think it has to even be certain words. Sometimes I just grab him and "mmmm" at him . I've also been known to tell him when he looks particularly hot in certain positions. For example, when he puts his hands behind him head while he's sat/lay down, he looks delicious. He likes knowing so because he starts doing it on purpose |

I often comment that a particular top or jumper brings out their eyes. Or trousers highlight something appealing. My ex was bald and I used to tell him all the time how much I liked kissing his head and stroking it. Whilst kissing and stroking it! Or they come out of the shower with a towel on and I growl. Little things. |

I like to pay compliments but in my experience, I've found that men can get a bit of a look of panic on their face, because they think you're getting too attached!! |

There is a possibility that the look of terror is part of the fun

To feel secure enough to share our insecurities and know they're going to be looked after and not used against us.
To be touched just because to want to touch us in a tactile way and not just a sexual way.
To feel appreciated for who we are not what we can do for you.
Trust me when I say that to have a brew made for you when you get home after a lifetime of being the one who has always done the running around is massively appreciated .....its the simple things |

I do think it's a bit of a surprise sometimes, especially when the straight speaking is complimentary.
People in general should make sure to let the people in their lives know they're loved, appreciated and desired. Because it is so important and means so much.

It's not terror, more surprise I would say as I suspect the very large majority of men don't hear it often and when they do it's a surprise.
Mr NVBN said who'd have thought men and women were the same, or along those lines.
We get the same warm fuzzy feeling ladies do when complemented, gives you a bit of a lift.
Has to be sincere though, forcing it is worse than not doing it at all.
