An old/new trick we have fallen for?
We have had a lot of messages recently saying "Thanks for the wink" or "Thanks for sending a wink back".
Well in these cases we haven't!
However it has been a way to get a message from us, as I invariably say "we haven't winked you" or "we haven't reciprocated your wink".
So the buggers somehow manage to get a response out of us 
When we say the above, it comes back with oh well..how are you etc... |

that's why i like the fact i've paid for silver/gold membership. If you click on their profile it tells you if you have ever messaged/winked the profile. |

I had this for the first time just the other week! Didn't know this was a common trick so felt like I should give them the benefit of the doubt for the 'mistake' even though I knew they were lying.
Pointed out I never wink anyone and got exactly the same, a message starting with "Oh,..."  |

The phone app asks you "are you sure" if you accidently hit the wink button"
Mine doesn't!!
But since the mobile app has been available - at least my clumsy fingers and thumbs don't accidentally wink/send friends requests - as occasionally happened when using the desktop site via iPhone! |

I often send messages before they're finished because I hit send accidentally when trying to move the cursor to correct or add something. |

If you thinks that's bad how about along with a face pic, I accidentally sent a very graphic pic because my finger touched the screen on the scroll up! I know this would please lots of people but I didn't really want to send that pic out there. It's for my closest and trusted only.
I do hope it's given him many happy wanking hours though. |

Another one noted of late, can tell it is coming up to Halloween and a full moon, couples disappearing, then suddenly a single guy a/c messaging us, and saying suddenly split but are you interested in playing |

Another trick had peeps try to use on us is putting "Re:" in the tag line of a message to give impression they are replying to a message you sent them ..
Do they not realise site supporters would see the message thread if that was the case |

I tend to get more friends invites than winks, and on the occasion that I actually like the look of whoever sent one, I'll typically message them saying
'Thankyou from the friends invite, but I don't accept them from people I haven't chatted to'
Hence, giving them the cue that I'd like to start a chat with them - typical response is my message gets read, rarely deleted, but no reply. |

Possibly, though it could have something to do with the act I wrote 'thankyou FROM the friends invite' as opposed to 'FOR' - I mean, anyone would be confused by the concept of a simple electronic gesture of camaraderie being abe to express gratitude. |

Had one of those - and only stopped it (blocked) as I've had the same thing happen via text on my mobile (nothing to do with swinging though). All too easy to get caught if you're managing a large number of 'live' messages.
