1970s Doctor Who is one .. I kind of remembered them as amazing at the time as a kiddie. Watching some back on a free trial of Britbox.. well.. maybe not as good as I recall, let’s put it that way!
And Gin. Everybody raves about Gin. So I tried some. Meh.
What else has turned out either not as good as you remember when you revisit them, or indeed not as good as you expected when you finally tried it ..
Over to you Fabsters! |

Has to be some certain songs. I remember dancing in the paradox to “jazz it up” by reel 2 reel. Telling everyone “I LOVE this songggggg” whilst throwing my shapes.
Heard it on Spotify this morning……. |

Rollercoasters. They were great when I was little, now they make me feel off balance and a bit queasy.
There's also lots of films that I loved as a child that I've shown to my own children, and they were a bit rubbish and boring - Annie for one. Not a lot happens for most of it, just lots of bad dancing and never ending singing |

I watched The Lost Boys t’other week. Again not as good as I remember as a teenager, when it was the *best* film ever! |

Being able to go out as a kid all day and return when it got dark and walking the streets without fear of being nonced or stabbed. And leaving my front door unlocked, knowing the neighbours, the doctor knowing you, running from the cops for scrumping, getting caned at school for fighting, oh and my first sight of a wank mag, the pic was of a guy who had an STI his cum was yellow? For months I thought I must be ill because mine was white. Lol |

Hmm mine would all probably be movies
Probably Indiana Jones god that second one was pretty racist and downright dodgy on rewatch at least for me.
Would say most recent recommended movies for me especially “deep and thought provoking ones” just find them pretentious. |
