"Usually on the motorbike, I am.the fastest thing on the road. Everyone slower than me, is generally a mobile chicane."
This, I also have a white van. Every morning on the way to work, everyone is slow as I'm always late.
Retired people shouldn't be allowed to drive until after 9.00 am when everyone has made it to work, then they can drive as slow as they like.
Why get up early, when you have all day to get your paper or groceries and hold everyone up who is trying to get to work? |

This mini thread perfectly encapsulates why some people should not have a licence - one of the most horrific crashes I ever saw was when a white van and motorbike were both driving way too fast/ aggressively and hit. I think the motorcyclist was killed and the van was a write off. Both were driving like idiots. |

Because they need to be sure to have something to read and not to go hungry while they are sitting in God's waiting room. |

"Fast - usually an Audi/BMW/Merc driver
35,000 yrs a year for 25 yrs so I have a lot of evidence "
I would say the fastest were motorbikes and then I usually see Range Rover types regularly running fast and close behind people before the German cars. |

Possibly, however the German saloons often join the Motorway and gun it from inside lane to outer lane immediately.
Obviously owners of said vehicles will disagree
Not many in the inside lane I’m sure that you all agree |

I agree with that but I still think that if I see a car doing 90/100+ in the outside lane then I would bet that it was a Range Rover with a massive engine. |

I’m glad someone said it!
I tend to drive slower when I notice some moron has come flying up behind me! There’s a speed limit for a reason!
Would you rather be late or dead
I know I would rather be late !

Well it would be a surprise to some on here that despite my previous thread I've been riding and driving motorbikes, cars, vans and lorries for over 40 years and never ever been involved or caused an accident of any kind (I witnessed a fatal one a few years ago).
I've never even been booked for anything, no endorsements or points at all, just one parking ticket a long time ago.
Perhaps I've had 40 years of luck (highly unlikely) but I am well aware that accidents can happen and drive accordingly.

The solution to all road rage is to make it a driving offence to wear a hat when in charge of a vehicle. Baseball caps have the affect of increasing a motorist’s speed by 20% and all other hats cause a motorist to reduce their speed by 20%. True story dat. |

Late last year I swapped from a Merc C-Class coupe to a Mini Clubman, and immediately noticed a change in behaviour of other drivers towards me. In the Merc I was left to get on with my own driving, but in the Mini I’m finding German ‘premium’ vehicle drivers and white van man to be much more aggressive. |

Going straight accross is not always safe, but joining a motorway slowly is potentially one of the most dangerous driving maneuvers you can do sober. |

The roads here went to 20mph years ago..
It proves no one reads signs as some tend to drive up your arse hole......
I just keep to 20 and imagine I can hear them calling me naughty names.. tosspots |

.
That's a good point. They could make it an incentive to get people off the roads during rush hours by having a lower road tax band for people who opt not to be on the roads between certain hours of the a weekday. |
