I maybe a bit maturer but has the rules of attraction changed that much ?
Recently I was at a social function.
As far as I,m aware I was not giving off any creepy vibes.
I went to introduce my self to a lady ....
Not even able to get my full sentence out when she stopped me mid flow....
Sorry ... but I,m not here to chat to guys , if I want to do that I do it online ...
Then said enjoy the rest of your evening ....
Then turned her back on me ...
Please ,please ,please tell me this is the glimpse of the future?

Be careful and try not to get accused of anything |

It is pretty silple- if she had been attracted to you, or even interested in meeting new people (guys) she would have chatted to you. She wasn’t interested and let you know right off the bat. Just move on… |

I think you're taking it pretty personally to be honest.
She was a bit rude about it, but some people, men included, have always been like that.
I'd just forget about it. |

A couple in a pre function chatgroup once told me how they were so looking forward to meeting me on the night.
Halfway through the night we still hadn't spoken so I made a point of introducing myself.
They didn't respond at all apart from a grunt and carried on chatting to each other as if I wasn't there so I walked away bemused.
The next day back in the chatgroup they were all over me asking where I had been hiding the night before and how sorry they were we hadn't got to meet.
When I told them we had met and the circumstances they said they had no memory of it ever happening but they were happy to verify me anyway.
I said thanks but no thanks.
Nowt as queer as folk. |

I think she was polite and stopped what could have been you monopolising her evening/friends chat/chances.
Most of us are way too polite to stop conversations with people we would rather not be in the same county with, let alone fake interest in. |

Yes this is pretty much a glimpse of the future...even nowadays, most interactions (when it comes to men and women) start online and then progress into a social environment. I personally wouldn't approach any woman I do not know, in a social environment, unless I am being introduced to her by a mutual friend. |

I don’t see the issue here?
If I went to stroke a dog and it bit me I’d accept that it didn’t want to be stroked.
Simple logic.
A woman didn’t want to talk and told you as much.
Next.

Makes me wonder how on earth do they get on on holidaying? Very difficult to cocoon yourself if away from home comforts. |

Some people don't get the hint, girls too. In fact girls go insane if you ignore/ditch them. Work colleagues, customers, miffed because you didn't play along and then all the shit that comes from it. |
