"Huntsman aren't actually spiders though, but they are arachnids. Also no huntsman species are venomous, or at least not to us.
Just bloody big b*stards "
But entirely harmless is the point I'm making |

I know, think I’d still run and get someone else to find a big enough box to catch it |

"My peers used to drop them down teachers' backs to see them squeal (I never did!)
They're harmless to humans.
Should I mention that they can grow to the size of a large dinner plate? "
Yeah, I know the aussie species can grow to massive proportions |

The number of times people talk about big spiders here and I'm like, oh look it's so little... |

"In Australia its the small spiders you have to worry about, its just that the big ones would creep the fuck out of you "
Yeah. Titchy ones will kill you. Huge ones are fine unless you're an arachnophobe |

Take out the words “of” and “land”… ask them about bindies. Or certainly “fresh” water sources can knock you sick too, lol |

"Their bites are painful causing localised swelling, headaches and mild nausea". So not entirely harmless. "

"Spiders Nightclub is in Hull, I wonder if that's where the Huntsman was going?
I've just been reading about Spiders Nightclub. Sounds an amazing place, very unique. "
I have very fond memories of the nights I've spent at Spiders. It was my regular weekend haunt for years. Pan-galactic Gargle Blasters |

It's just another medium-sized rock club. Only thing remarkable about it is that it's still in business in 2022 – the comparable venues in most other cities have either gone under or pivoted to different genres. |

I also used to go to ‘Spids’ every weekend. Back in the day when it was open Friday and Saturday nights we’d sometimes go both nights. Always the best music and loads of people who I knew so I could go on my own if I really wanted to and always find some mates in there. Not been for a few years but some of the younger apprentices at work still go and love it as much as I used to. Happy days |

I remember going both nights too. And a few epic New Years! Best music at any club I ever went to. I turned up in my short skirt and my doc martens and boogied all night. |

"Has anyone thought that this creature could have laid eggs or give birth to live young.
Hull could be overun with these giant arachnids soon if so"
Why Tom, it’s almost like you’re trying to scare the shit out of us. |

"Putin put it there.
Does Putin not like Hull ?
Heard he wants to annex it.."
Not true. Hill has always been part of Russia and has taken the long overdue steps to recognise the region as Western Donetsk |
