That “silver paper” (their description) isn’t paper, it’s aluminium foil and has to go in the general recycling, not the paper.
The same person had to be told that the wrappers on lollies weren’t paper, and had to go in the general waste.
They’re in their seventies.

Had to explain to my son's girlfriend that a carpenter is not a man who fits carpets. When I needed a carpenter, she reckoned that she knew just the man, he was the guy who fitted all the carpets at her mums house. |

The males go round the mountain in a clockwise direction, into the prevailing wind. The females go anti-clockwise. This is all part of the mating process. |

That women don't wee out of their vaginas.
I had to explain that to a woman in her 50s who told me that sanitary towels were far more convenient than tampons because with a tampon you have to take it out every time you want to pee. |
