"Now, this is a story all about how My sex-life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute Just sit right there I'll tell you why I'm posting this right here In the West Midlands, born and raised On the forums are where I spend most of my days Chillin' out, whackin', playin' the fool And shootin' some spunk outside of my tool When a couple of girls who looked really good Turned out to live near to my neighbourhood I messaged one the other night and and it said "Read" She replied "You must be joking, you've got a bald head!" I winked at the other and sent a face pic Cos' their profile said "Please, no more pictures of dicks" If anything I thought this profile was rare But I thought "Nah, forget it, maybe she won't care" I pulled up to her house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabbie "Yo holmes, smell ya later" I looked at my manhood I was finally there But she sat on my face as I gasped for air... " Nice one, very good.

"I grew up with a lot of the original stuff of the 80's/90's- so Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash through to The Beasties, Public Enemy & Snoop. Everyone had their own style and sound and seemed to be pushing the boundaries in some way. Current stuff in comparison is utter bilge, sounds like it was squirted out of a production line like some cheap Europop by clowns who all seem have the same look and personality- apart from Kanye (or whatever he's called this week), who just seems to be a mentally unstable walking ego. The whole genre has become a giant parody of itself devoid of any class or innovation " Completely disagree with the bit about music nowadays. I think the beauty of rap is in its evolution through time and how it has come to be so many different sub genres. There’s also plenty of rappers that are different and have different sounds and play about with different things.

While musically It may appeal to the current generations, a lot of it is manufactured and created just to appeal to the masses. There’s nothing wrong with that but, it’s just not as raw and pure anymore. It’s all people in suits saying do this and don’t do that, say this and don’t say that. As I’ve mentioned it now appeals to the masses but, still not my cup of tea

"Love 90s rap music. Grew up listening to it with my dad. Especially NWA, Ice Cube, Tupac, snoop, Nas, Jay Z. Now love Kendrick and J Cole too. But must admit that these days I’m a big big fan of the UK scene. Secondary school through to now I’ve loved Skepta, JME, Kano, Bashy, Ghetts, Giggs. Now love Dave, Aitch, J Hus. Probably not anyone on here’s tastes but also Nines, Headie One and Digga D. " Mr A went to see Dave in concert the other day, he loves the artists you mentioned, he said Hazey is a good up and coming artist

Rap will always belong to the streets as the artists say. That music, that’s a reflection of the worlds that the artists live, still exists and it’s still accessible. You just aren’t going to hear it on the radio. Imo
"Ours Samplus are awesome!! " No way! Someone that knows them!!! Yeah so good! I'm currently planning a trip to France to see them play. You heard of Jim, Dekobe or brock berrigan? Some of other favs
"Most is deafly impartial to listen to a bit of a Slum Village, nas and all the classics. Great era " Yeah slum village are so good! The dilla effect

I’ve listened to him since he got famous from tik tok
"Probably an age thing, but not for me. You would probably feel the same about 80s and 90s dance music, which i love. Each to their own." No I love 80s and 90s music. Part of hip hop culture is using samples from old records so most beatmakers have a very eclectic taste

There’s 4 series but only a few episodes in each. It starts at the beginning of hip hop, late 70’s/early 80’s house and block parties and covers everything up to modern hip hop. I like to think I know a lot about the genre but this showed me so much I hadn’t already seen.

"More recommends: Akashik Ancestors, Epidemic, Haez One, Snowgoons, Immortal Technique, Moka Only, The Beyonders, Apakalypse, Aesop Rock, Worldwide, Lord Beatjitzu." Moka only is dope! So many albums but some really good stuff. Going to work my way through the rest

"Depends on the lyrics mainly. If they're talking about how amazing they are, how much money and swag they have then not for me ta. Now, if they're telling me a story with a message that will benefit the universe or make me laugh then sound." Same. Carlos likes happy rap like the young MC.

Now, if they're telling me a story with a message that will benefit the universe or make me laugh then sound." I'm the same. But for me it's more about the beat than the lyrics. Generally people who chat rubbish have crap beats. The difference is the underground and commercial bullhonk. Who knows why people talking about degrading women, money and bling is more popular than deep meaningful lyrics. Always baffeled me

He's a independent artist and his gf Nova rockafella produces the videos which are really good. I'm not a fan of 'modern' rappers but this guy is different.

"Without repeating many a great suggestion throughout the thread I don't believe Mos Def or Dialted Peoples were mentioned... I've a soft spot for both. Jedi Mind Tricks, CunninLynguists, The Roots." Cunninlynguists are up there for me. Such good beats and brilliant lyricists
