Reminds me of that Little Britain sketch: “I’ll have the Foie Gras to start followed by the a poached Guineafowl.... and a double decker”. David Walliams at his best. |

"England are set to lift the ban on importing some furs and Foie Gras ...
I didn't realize it was banned to be honest..
"
It hadn't been banned, OP, but they've decided not to proceed with an import ban, if that makes sense...
(Though producing foie gras and fur farming already illegal in UK) |

"Well if it's illegal to make it here then is it moral to import it?
How much is the foie gras industry worth in terms of importance and who is the main producer ..."
France is the main producer, though the USA also produce a small amount. |

"Is this one of those "brexit benefits" that we hear so much about?"
Yup, plus we are bringing back bear baiting, hanging and the right to beat your serfs.
Traditional British values. |

Ironically it was the argument that "should we do this and spend a lot of time on a policy and trade agreement when so few people consume foie gras" and has no impact to british suppliers (and making a food stuff illegal on ethical grounds always goes down well). They felt money better spent just persuading people not to eat it.
Of course Op can still make it into an anti-brexit anti- govt line if preferred. |

You’re such a gourmet. What about cruelty to beef though - what do they do to them to be able to squeeze them into those little tins? |
