There are folks on here who have unfortunately clocked up decades, so you’re by no means close to the trophy….. if that’s any consolation.
I ended a hiatus of just over three years in Jan, so multiple years is relatively common, even here.
As for what’s too long; however long makes you miserable about it is too long. |

I've gone 10 years at one stage with zero sexual contact or the intimate touch of another human being. It's the reason now that I don't obsess over sex and it's not a priority but is always a bonus when it happens. |

My last relationship was in 1995 , longest without any sex or intimacy of any sort was about 8 years |

Generally get the itch after about two days, gets really bad after a week, practically unbearable after 2 weeks and stays at that level of frustration all the way out to 6 weeks at which point it tails off rapidly and stop thinking about it a day later. Some of the longer deployments were utterly horrible as they were in very hot places that just made it so much worse. |

i agree with most here, seems if you have it regularly, then you expect and need it more but whe i was away for 3 months at a time after about 6 weeks didn't really think about it - or just focused on other things like work. Don't think i could last 1 year (or 7 ) though! |

2 years currently and not even bothered. Unless there is a combustible spark that you can see from space I’m not interested anymore.

I think there's something to this, if it's literally just sex it can usually be sought if you are willing to compromise a number of different personal factors..(not to downplay whatever barriers you may be facing)
I don't have sex very often btw.. self sex on the other hand (lol).. it would seem that 2 hours is too long!! |
