Almost unsettling how still and calm it is before the storm comes?

Or just me?

Just started to rain here which is ideal as I love listening to the rain when I try and sleep.

Hopefully my roof doesn't come off later though.

Nope I thought it too, I was standing on my balcony earlier and thought it's too still. It's a bit creepy really (and added to the fact we over look a grave yard lol)

The animals are all hunkered down and possibly planes have been grounded.

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Whisper Quiet out

I can normally hear the animals moving about, an owl or two , foxes crying , but tonight not a thing, not even a dickie bird.

There's a helicopter circling the area.

It needs to fuck off.

Raining here but no wind just yet. Due to suddenly pick up about now though. Tucked up under my duvet with my feet on a hot water bottle praying. But been weirdly quiet all evening I agree.

I literally cannot hear a thing outside. It’s a tad unnerving!

The calm before the storm is a real phenomenon explained on the website EarthSky by two earth science professors:

"Why is there a calm before a storm?"

Dr. Dev Niyogi

Dr. Ernest Agee

It's probably the same helicopter that keeps circling round we are night after flipping night!
