Trying to pursuade my friend's partner to try some venison for the first time.

She loves steak, I'm trying to explain its alot more tastier.

Coming down to it, what's better steak or venison?

Steak is a cut. You mean. Venison or Beef. And I’m voting beef. Venison is ok, but easy to get wrong. Can’t get a rump steak wrong. Unless you’re wilfully trying to cremate it

I love both meats but a venison steak has less fat. Closer in taste to a filet steak than a ribeye steak.

Suggest to her to try a venison burger as an introduction to venison meat.

North East Scotland, mostly

Venison mince is lovely and easier to cook than venison fillet, it's so lean it dries out easily. I like both

For the first time make a slow cooked stew with the venison.

Steak by a mile! I don't like the texture of venison.

Yes indeed...

Perhaps your friend's reluctance is down to associating venison with Bambi

I find Venison too strong for my palate, much prefer beef & lamb slowly cooked..

Venison steak sliced strips in red wine with black pepper . Cooked slowly. So can see when done. Preferred.

Venison. Tastier & healthier.
