I'm nearly at the end of 'Dodger', enjoying it but can't help to think about how many more books he will get out before old timers disease takes its toll
I have to ask, who is your fave character in the city watch???

I might have a few of his books.
My favourite books are the Witches books and my fave character is Granny Weatherwax. I have noticed a distinct dropping off of quality in his later books though, and he has admitted using a ghost writer since his illness kicked in, which would explain that.
I would prefer that he stops writing than become less and less able to write, but I guess he has his reasons for releasing so many books lately. |

"I think its a family member who helps him with his writing and work on his books."
When interviewed on 6 Music he said he used a voice activated typing programme but I reckon someone else is around to edit and check for him. |

Love his books. Been reading them for 20 years now, ever since a detachment to the falklands and found someone had left Mort in the dorm.
Will be very sad when he can't write anymore as they've brought me a lot of joy over the years.
My favourite book is Jingo, as I love the way he captures the British xenophobia perfectly. And has my two favourite characters in it. Sam Vimes and Lord Vetinari. But there are so many to choose from, Rincewind has to be up there too.
Hope he does a back story book on Vetinari before he stops.
Fuck I go on don't I?! |

I've been enjoying this wonderful world called "Disc" for many a long year now. I've always loved the watch books and especially Vimes and his butler Willikins. |

Good to see TP back on form with Dodger
Victorian London is a great setting for him, we could see more adventures with Dodger
My favourite book had to be Monstrous Regiment - everyone had a cameo in there.
Favourite character ? Tough, but I'm going for Igor
