I went to Lutsk on business a couple of years ago. Drove from Poland. The border was horrific with tales that it can take days to cross. Took us three hours.
Went to a great restaurant and the prices were incredibly low. There was an attractive woman at a table on her own. I noticed her as she was drinking a pint which I thought unusual and she was on her mobile the whole time. The guy that owned the company I was visiting explained through an interpreter that as she’s on her phone, he could make one call and quickly establish who she is and who she was talking to. I didn’t doubt him.
He also gave me a mobile number and told me to go in the diplomatic lane on the way back to Poland to avoid a delay at the border. Still took me three hours!
Nice people, very third world once out of city centre, I’d be happy to go back. |
