So this is probably one of the top ten questions asked on fab as an ice breaker.
My instant response is watching true crime on YouTube nowww that's probably not what they wanted to hear...
So I want to see what you forumers like to do/watch/listen to in your spare time? What you reading? Which podcast are you on?
I'm nosey |

"Hang out in my little plot of woodland, really quiet literally as I am a hammock camper."
Ooh. That’s proper living the dream stuff. When did you buy your plot (and why… was a just a little wild place to have and call your own, or do you have other plans for it?).
I forget how lucky we are in Scotland to have a legally enshrined right to pitch a tent pretty much anywhere wild. |

I purchase about a year ago but had been looking for a couple of years before buying as very little was coming to market suitably nearby.
I plan on doing a mixture of conservation management and wild camping there. Both of these are thing I have been doing most of my adult life or longer. The site is mixed woodland but currently about half the stock is larch and I will be looking to very gradually reduce this and introduce a wider range of broadleaf species. |

I love catching up with Jonathan Pie on YouTube and I watch a few other political analysts.
As for reading, I have “A Treasury of Sherlock Holmes” on my bedside cabinet which I have been dipping into over thdd we past few months. I also love reading anything anc everything by John Le Carre. I think I have read “the Karla “ trilogy about three times and watch the two BBC adaptations on DVD over and over.
I also have a number of poetry anthologies on my bedside cabinet.
And I love military history !
Oh! And of course I enjoy searching out the latest makeup and then seeing what price I can get it for on a bay |

The music of Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Seconding Dr Pimple Popper.
Serial killer podcasts.
Horror films.
Squealing in excitement at the latest Dr Strange 2 trailer.
In terms of reading it's a mix. Cookbooks and trying to adopt the healthy eating lifestyle a lot more. Feminist rewrites of greek mythos.
I've not had that question in so long, feel like I'm missing out. |

In the first lockdown I lost a substantial amount of money playing online slot machines. So now to get my fix without losing money I watch people stream playing slots on twitch.

When I’m not teaching dancing I love to read, I have a bookcase in my bedroom filled with everything from autobiographies to art, I adore going to the theatre too.
I’m pretty involved with a mental health charity set up in memory of a friend so we meet up to discuss fundraising events and sponsorship once a month too, this is a cause close to my heart.
Music is never off in my home, everything from Motown, rock, soul, 80s etc I like my home to feel friendly and fun, music is an escapism and although I can’t sing I love to! Nothing better at the end of a hard day than belting out a few tunes in the bath.
Aside from that my main passion is dance, I’ll do it anywhere from my studio to my kitchen and still after 35yrs I enjoy learning new styles or revisiting those I love, so when I have the time I love going along to classes for my own development and just to feel joy!

I’m learning Spanish, so I do a lot of that.
I like watching a couple of political things on YouTube. Johnathan Pie is always good for articulating what I’m thinking. Double Down News are so brilliant that I even pay them for their content through their Patreon page. Novara Media always have a similar point of view to my own. And Phil from A Different Bias always has some really good things to think about.
I have just sorted out my hifi separates to connect to my Deezer account, so having a universe of music at my fingertips is awesome. I feel like a kid again, lying on the floor listening to records.
A calm and quiet life does me just fine, and I get out into greenery as often as I can. |

Nice!! What are you planning to grow??"
Sowed some red onions the other day to see how they get on. Have some first early potatoes chitting at the moment. Garlic is already in the raised bed and growing. Got a set up for some tomatoes ready and then I'm looking at some runner beans, carrots and spinach as well. |

I don't watch TV unless I have to.
I watch lectures on nutrition, psychology and counselling on YT
Also follow Jordan Peterson on there. (Please don't start unless you have actually watched at least 10 hours of his output).
I read historical fiction...Christian Cameron is my favourite author. Reco.mend his Killer of Men series.
I read any paperback hanging around at work when needs must.
I refuse to watch the news, read the news, hear the news.
I go to the gym regularly, am moving house and will be undertaking renovations on that.
And the rest of my time I waste on here. Which isn't much recently. |

Most camping hammocks are a lot more stable and difficult to fall out of than the type with wooden spreader bars at either end. That said I have one which is quite entertaining for anyone around to watch me getting in or out of. I kind of have to launch myself backwards almost like doing the hogh jump to get in and get catapulted forward getting out. Most of the others you just sit down into them and swing your legs up in a much more civalised manner. |

I started with an app, then I signed up to classes at the Cervantes Institute in Manchester for a couple of years. Now I use a private tutor who was my old teacher at Cervantes. Nothing beats being there on holiday though, and Covid has certainly been putting an annoying dent in those plans. |

All I seem to do these days is go round and round in circles on Fab!! It's very distracting!!
I love reading East End crime fiction - Martina Cole, Kimberly Chambers, Jessie Kane etc. I also love Jeffery Archer!! Honestly, he's great! Another recommendation would be Stuart McBride, who writes the Logan Macrae series based in Aberdeen.
I love cooking and spend a jit of time exercising - walking, jogging, planking, and kettle bells mostly.
Apaet from time with the bairns, any time left after that is spent in the pursuit of the fairer sex, which in fairness can be associated with the Fab trawling so there's never a wasted moment whilst I'm on here!! |

I am into tech...desktop/lappies. Try and get the most out of kit that's a few years old and get them refurbished and upgraded. I have a channel on youtube for just that. For music, I usually listen to classic heavy rock. I can sometimes have light jazz or pop on in the background when the mood takes me. Currently reading a Peter James novel from years back called Billionaire. |
