to stop eating so much chocolate. I hardly used to eat any, then started during lockdown to eat a lot more and now is verging on obsession. I have done tests and sugar levels are fine, but still .... Anything that helps like 'patches', like the ones you get for quiting smoking for example? |

Best thing I found is to replace it with other snacks like pumpkin seeds, salted nuts, meats, fruit etc.
You just need to be mindful that what you swap them out for may be higher in sugars or overall calories than the choccies. |

Buy 85% or higher cocoa chocolate. It has far less sugar and after a short while the "normal" stuff just tastes wrong somehow. Have a look at Montezuma or Hotel Chocolat or Aldi who all sell quality high percentage chocolate which is really delicious. |

Do a week abstaining. You can have hot chocolate drinks, fruit, cereal bars, chocolate milk shake, but when you fancy chocolate have something else instead.
Once you've done a week, give yourself a treat. Think about what you can buy as a reward. Then try for another week. I managed to do a month without and now when I have chocolate it tastes really sweet, so I'm not that bothered about it anymore.
If I can do it, you can, because my will power isn't good. |

I have a full on chocolate addiction too
A good quality dark chocolate is meant to help & it kinda does but it's not the same as enjoying a family bar if dairy milk or Galaxy or those Lindt balls. I'm not helping am I lol
Says I was a chocoholic |

I comfort eat with chocolate when I'm stressed or/and over tired, so I'm eating too much of it at the moment too. Healthy foods just don't give me the same comforting feeling. |

Why? Life is short, eat the chocolate, wear the good shirt on an ordinary day, to out with friends without doing the washing up! |

I can help if you want. Any chocolate that has orange in it I can safely dispose of in an environmentally friendly way. |

I used to give up chocolate and sweets for lent. Would always feel really sick Easter Monday when having something.
Gave both up for new years resolution over 30 years ago. Not had either since. The smell can even make me heave now.

Leave chocolate in the bathroom and open up the packaging when you buy it. You'll think twice about eating it when you next want some and it has been sat with your poo particles. I hope that helps bestie. X |
