In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
"[Removed by poster at 15/02/22 09:04:10]"
I changed my mind. The first thing I'd buy would probably be a new pair of earrings. Because I really want them and can't justify spending the money on them, even though they're cheap.
So I'd get straight onto the website and order them.
Then I'd make plans for the rest. |

If it's a multi million pounds win I'd only need 250,000 to do what I want.
Retire overseas. I'd then spend a 6 month period fending off the "friends" I knew years ago.
Pay off my daughters mortgage.
Pay off my best pal's mortgage and his daughters.
Rest to charity.

"For me,,
I'd buy a brand new Arse
The one I have has a hole in it. "
1. A nice holiday to plan my next move.
2. I'd then jump from country to country until I found somewhere I wanted to live. So that's buying more travel with the various associated costs.
3. Then I'd buy whatever is necessary to setup a comfortable middle class life in that country - house, car, staff, membership to clubs/restuarants etc.
4. Finally, I'd invest in a small local business to keep myself occupied or focused. |

I'd buy a house, nothing grand, couple of cars and make sure I had enough in the bank to see out my days.
Make sure my sister and children were taken care of.
A couple of friends I'd help out financially.
I'd spend the rest of my life giving away the rest.

While it's all noble doing something with charity etc I think the first thing I would buy and literally the first thing would be a new car, not a brand new one mind, just one a little newer than my current vintage number while we wait for us to move. If I bought a brand new car where I live, I would be worried it would be keyed or something.
Mind you saying that, the first thing I'd probably do is take us out for a meal, then car. Yes that's it. Then debts.

A house that is big enough for us all to live in and have our own space. A nice big garden for the kids to play and a motor home that would comfortably fit 6.
Obviously take care of family and friends. And donate to local causes.

"I won the lottery the day I met Dora.
I need nothing else. "
Very sweet, so can you donate your winnings to me?
I'd probably book a world tour, gives me ample time to decide what to do with the rest. |

I would open an old peoples home in my home town, where old people could live in accordance with their needs and the proximity of their family… ie local families.
The fees would be totally suited to what the families could afford (and free if I judged it was needed)
I would employ the best and most highly dedicated and qualified staff and pay them a decent wage according to they lit abilities ( not your bullshit minimum wage ) and I would run it and pay any shortfalls in costs but by god I would milk the government too for every possible grant and tax rebate.
Families in my area are forced to send their elderly relatives miles and miles away into care and a lot of families are not in a position to visit them regularly because the distance and cost is too great,
It is heart breaking.
If I had millions, it would stop. At least in my town and with the families and friends of people I call my neighbours and my friends |

Would be in shock for a day or two, would keep it low profile and have a long hard think depending on the amount we have won. Oh not tell anyone just yet. When we have decided we will post and let you know. |
