I tend to go with silicone with my collection on day to day wears, and leather and the rare occasion metal on dress or night out ones.

Depends on the watch for me

I prefer metal

Bracelet for spring/summer.

Leather for autumn winter.

Rubber for the beach as Steel or Gold bracelets scratch too easily in the sand.

But depends very much on the type of watch really.
