On what’s my first single Valentines Day since 2008 this is what I needed to hear! Seriously though, this is so right.
I’m 40 in August and this version of me is more self confident, intelligent and probably more physically attractive.
Thank you. |

40s we’re by far my best decade, not just here but financial freedom, maturity, knowing what I really want , confidence , kids become more like friends than dependencies, you take much less shit from annoying people generally . But then it’s all over and you’re old Enjoy your 40’s |

"I can't say that 40's were any less dynamic, rewarding, and fulfilling than my 20's, 30's or now in my 50's. It's all just a game, it's simply how you play it that makes the difference. " some good advice x

"Think I was mid 30's when I came to the realisation that no one actually gives a fuck what you look like or do in real life. Just be you! " Thank you x

often by 40, people jids are grown up or enhough that they dont need full time supervision,
often our careers are well established.
in your 40 you are more settled in your skin, less angsty, more cofident, know what you want from life, have explored sexually and know what you like.

This really hits. I’ll be 40 in a couple of months and only now am I starting to work out who I am. What I want. What I need. Life experience and bad times have taught me a lot. It takes time to get to know you I’m finding |

"My advice to any man hitting 40 would be to make it an absolute priority to procure yourselves a lifelong loving female partner, the girls can pull at any age."
Not so. At 65 ones pulling power is considerably reduced |

I never understand why people don't want to get older. To me, it just means I've survived another year... which is a GOOD thing.

I have to say that each decade has got better, so my 40s have been the best so far, despite Covid.
Hoping my 50s will be better again.
I think it's a combination of being increasingly comfortable in your skin and children being more independent. |

Definitely don’t believe in this sentiment - life begins when you start living it the way you want too, when you stop listening to society’s ideals of how you should look, behave etc and you basically just give less fucks!
I’m glad you are enjoying yourself OP and it’s great to see a positive thread xx |

We’re closing in on 40 and whilst we definitely don’t feel that old, (it isn’t old!) I’ve definitely felt like pressure to conform and be what society thinks I should be. Turning 30 made me realise that my life should be my own and I should be who I am without worrying about what others think. I definitely feel more comfortable and confident in my own skin now at 36 than I did at 20!
