"Fancy washer/drier thing and a new cooker "

Do you know about a company called Ebac? They build machines that CAN be repaired.

7-year parts and labour warranty as well!

The good thing about most modern tech is that its so tech and so automated, it decides for you.

For example. iPhones and Android phones automatically update and download so much intentional bloatware from their manufacturers that your old handset grinds to a halt and you're forced to upgrade to the latest.

So now you don't need to think: just be caught into perpetual upgrades from your preferred devices money making ecosystem.

Are you into photography to the extent that you need more than a phone cam?

My iPhone 13 camera is insane. Not sure I could ever need more.

So do I, but I guess it depends on what you can get really.

New car. Qualifies as tech because of the insane amount of toys it has, even a proper head up display! Apart from that a new camera and thats it for now. Looking for a good deal on a 34" ultra wide monitor, and possibly a new telly later in the year.

Yes, I have a p30 pro but will get much better photos from a camera, especially when it comes to cropping because you lose a lot of image quality and if like to print some onto canvas and also have people that want me to take photos for them

I loved my technology for many years but I have started to 'regress' recently and not keen on too many stuff. I prefer the simpler life

Totally agree in certain applications - was a smartwatch advocate from the start until I realised the amount of stress it caused every time an email came through that buzzed on my wrist. Soon went back to analogue and life is much better for it!
