"I think that was your problem putting feet in your feeder
Sometimes it takes a while for word of beak to get around, but they'll soon start flocking "
I hope so I have a very large tub of peanuts |

"I have Bird feeders in the front and back gardens along with a bug hotel and butterfly bushes.
All wildlife is welcome here "
I try too do that as well. I even have plants that slugs and snails seem to be very attracted to. I am not bothered, every creature has to eat |

"Balls just melt when they get wet.
Would freezing them help ?"
It's the rain. Birds don't seem to like the fat balls I put out.
Actually maybe I should attach a rain cover to the ball cage. |

I'm delighted to say that my little blue tit is back to see me. Saw him or her, this morning as I made coffee. It surprised me as I wasn't expecting it, I don't usually see them until March. They visited a lot last year as I fed them. They're cheeky wee things tapping at the window for food x |

I am pleased to report that I hung my fat balls out yesterday ... after buying a squirrel-proof feeder, though it may turn out to be a squirrel trap! My balls are now hanging proudly in the back garden for all to see.
If the bugger manages to break into this feeder, I have a few other tricks up my sleeves, including one involving a slinky spring

Nope. I keep a wild area in the garden with lots of bug areas for the birds, unpopular opinion I know but we created unnatural populations of certain birds feeding them at home, when the majorities of their natural diets are actually bugs and insects not peanuts... |

"I have cats so I dont feed birds in my garden, it would feel like entrapment "
My neighbours have a cat but she is too much of a diva to be bothered with birds. She could not even caress about my dog which used to annoy him as he wanted to play with her. They just learned to ignore one another very happily |
