A while ago I posted that I was going to the ritz for afternoon tea.

the sandwiches were nice and tasted nice had the crust cut off. They were in the shape of soldiers and all exactly the same size. The scones were nice and the mini cakes. I chose some stupid chinese rusian tea. All was going well till I was hot and toke my jacket off and got told off by the posh french waiter.

The bogs were old fashioned and spotless seemed just to have a little fella constantly looking after them.

it was nice but wouldn't go again.

Think it was nice for me gran for her 95th birthday and they give her a little cake.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

You had a nice experience. You don't have to repeat it. You survived it and didn't starve. I hope your grandmother did enjoy it.

Tea at the Claridges is worth a try, not sure if it has been ruined by Gordon Ramsey or not, however, when I went there years ago, it was very informal, yet the food was lovely.

Now this was a missed opportunity here.

Your answer should have been 'yeah my grandmother is elderly and I wanted to do something really special for her to see her smile, because she's made me smile many many times over the years'. That would have produced 'ah your such a nice sweet guy' and you would have gained b rownie points.

Tip 1 for women - they like sentimental guys
