I struggle with motivation quite a lot. Usually I just give myself a little pep talk, a kick up the arse and get on with it. Usually once I get started it’s never as bad as I thought it was going to be. |

Procrastinator huh - me too.
Set mini goals, no more beer until you do X. But yourself new kicks when you hand in essay X. 2 hours on this research and I’ll have 30 mins to hunt tits and ass on Fab, etc |

Motivation is dependant on mood , short term and really believing in what you’re doing, long term.
It’s best to embrace your moods , plan different types of activity for highs and lows rather than trying to artificially create motivation. I find shorter days, reading and relaxing good for lows and longer days, networking, analysis, and group project work , workshops etc better for highs.
But….Long term, you only succeed if you learn to do things you don’t always enjoy, and that others put off, this is what separates successful and unsuccessful people
So make sure you commit only to the right things in general, so that you can find extra power to do the above when you need to
