Strange behavior...

I'm really not sure what's trying to be achieved here... So, I've sent out 3 separate messages to 3 separate ladies, all polite, face pic included, if you're interested get in touch, blah blah blah.
All 3 kindly replied with a little flirty message, included face pics and 1 even sent over a friend request... Great stuff! (I thought)
However, all 3 instantly hide their profiles after they've sent the message!?  I don't get it, is this a new trend!? Surly if you're not interested you just wouldn't bother to replying lol... Very strange. |

If you've received a message from them then you can message back even if they've hidden their profiles. Perhaps they've just given up looking now that they've all found Mr right in the form of you  |

I've noticed this with 2 men who are currently messaging me. I dont get the point but am thinking maybe they have verifications they dont want me to see? |

You can still message them even if the profile is hidden if they’ve replied.
See it as a good thing…they aren’t letting any other guys get in touch other than who they are currently chatting to.
They shut up the shop window

Lol... Chance would be a fine thing, I always take a hidden profile as a no contact, just in case they're taking a break from the site. |

I often hide my profile for no other reasons that I’m not looking to engage with anyone new at that particular moment and don’t want to deal with unsolicited mail …I always send a no thank you, it’s time consuming and rather tedious.

Yes, especially if they have saw a face pic, that way they still can message but it stops others x |

People hide their profiles all the time for a host of different reasons , there isn’t anything strange about it . Think you are reading more into it than you should , I wouldn’t take it personally either  |

If you're on a mobile device, you can still send a message to a hidden profile even if they haven't sent you one first. |

I think the OP is suggesting it’s strange to have a viewable profile that becomes hidden once the owner expresses interest from the OP.
I gave up even trying to understand behaviour on here says after joining, I hate the rather lane and uninspired “it is what it is” phrase, but it is… |

I hide mine often for various reasons. Sometimes if I have a couple of good conversations going I will hide to stop the constant stream of messages coming in and therefore missing a message from someone I’m interested in. |
