Do you put people on your block list if they have said you’re not for them?
Not in a ‘screw you’ way but to stop mistaken contact further down the line?
Or do you keep them so you can perv them still  |

I've only ever had one person tell me I wasn't for them and we agreed they should block me so I wouldn't appear in their updates. It would seem a bit pointless to carry on looking at someone who has no interest in you.
I normally just block anyone who doesn't fit what I'm looking for and it keeps my update page tidy and relevant and I don't think about them anymore. |

I block for various reasons. If people have been rude, or I just don't like the look of they're profile from the forums.
I block people if they message too much.
I've had one guy message every week for 5. Same copy and paste message. |

Well. I have a singles profile and in all honesty, my firewalls on my profile (I call them the terms and conditions) are there for a reason, if someone doesn't do what it says in my profile then on the block list they go. Mind you, I say this, if the message (and they haven't jumped through all my hoops) had made me laugh, I may not hit that button.
For this profile, we use the block button purely for "not to contact them again" reasons

blocklist is only for nasty Perros and deaf pests, rejection is part of live,, its like golf,, when you live on an island embrace the sand, learn to embrace the bunkers, cause sure as shit you are gonna find them 
So don't hate em become better coming out of em. |

At the beginning we hated using the block list, it seemed mean, likewise we accepted all friend requests. Having been on a while, we use the block list more and seldom accept friend requests. |

I'd block them yes, so I didn't risk contacting them again.
I also block some profiles for their constant whiny statuses, so they don't show up on my updates,
Or for pics I'm not keen on.
I do block if anyone is abusive in a message too.
It's a good tool to use. |

I don’t block anybody for that. I may still enjoy chatting to them. I may still meet them socially. I just put a private note to say they’ve said no to anything more than social interaction. |

We are quite block heavy over here.  We had a repeat visitor who came to our page 4 times a week, was a bit weird, I asked them to stop (they were 30 years older than me) but they didn't. Has resulted in me being quite trigger happy with the button. |

I guess it’s a good way of moving things along…. Block means no interest which saves time |

Like it has been said, lots of reasons block, mostly for inappropriate comments including those in threads. The weird ones though are when people block you before you even had a chance to read a message that they just sent you whether a nice message or not. That's either cowardly or bizarre to say the least in my opinion. On the other hand it shows they are weird anyway so in some ways they do you a favour |

I block if they keep messaging me when I’ve said I’m not interested as it gets really annoying or when I’ve said not interested and they reply with a nasty message |

I dont think they can.
I use the block list for people I know I am not interested in, and also for people who I have messaged and have said I am not for them. It makes the use of the site for me more efficient because I am not continually seeing profiles where I know nothing will happen. |

Another counter blocker here.
I’m not petty enough to block anyone I don’t like or who rejects me. Life’s too short for all that bobbins imho.
I *am* petty enough to block them back if I see that I’ve been blocked by them though! Fair game then, isn’t it? |
