Someone messaged me saying did u know if u put fabswingers and your user name in google it comes up with your profile all pics etc! So gave it a go and it does! I'm not worried about that but on one search just using my username alone it gave a very near location!  x |

I’ve noticed that before,it brings up forum posts too. So if you put Fab Swingers in google followed by a user name or a topic, it brings up threads with those in the title. I say user name because there are threads dedicated to some profile names like appreciation or birthday ones. No pics though just like if you google fab swingers forum it brings up all the forums so you can read them without logging on.
You can hide your profile in your setting though |

Actually I’ve just put my name in and it brought up a thread that had a comment on it with my name in it. |

The settings hide the profile from general search but if you use the forums, anything you’ve posted to, created or been mentioned in will come up in a search. Although it is well hidden unless they use the word fab as part of the search as well. |

I've just tried it with both my current username and my previous username (Sophie.720) and nothing comes up with x_Sophie_x but it does with Sophie.720!
I have always had my profile set to hide me from Google searches etc.
I couldn't see any full pics but I could open loads of threads I had posted to and then open my profile which I find quite worrying as I really do not want to be found by people who are not on fab and in my normal vanilla life as it would likely cause me a world of pain and potentially lose me my job and my safety.
Now I understand that those people would need to know my username specifically to search for me but what is to stop me from being found in a thread if it comes up being searched for other usernames.
Surely forum threads should be hidden from being found by non members of Fabswingers as a general default setting? |
