I think how someone gets up days a lot about them as a person or maybe more specifically where they are right now
Do you get up
- after hitting snooze a couple of times
- pretty much when the alarm goes off
- no alarm - get up when you wake
- usually before the alarm goes off
- often too late , lots of snoozing |

I get up when the cat decides he needs to be fed. |

I’m a jump out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off which is normally the dogs barking for food |

I am always awake and rarely use alarms. I only use alarms if I am getting up extra early for something (like travelling for work) and then I feel like I have slept with one ye open in fear of missing said alarm |

I have 5 alarms set for the morning, all on different tones. I normally don’t hear the first two and the tones need to be changed fortnightly or else I sleep through them all together.
I’m not a morning person and have to wake up slowly. I can’t just bounce out of bed the minute eyes open or else I may pass out, historical thing, but this way works for me. |

When I'm working it's 2 snoozes, when I'm home I don't set an alarm, I just get up at whatever time I wake. Sometimes in the summer I set an alarm for an early morning jog. |

Mines set for 5:05 as my first call is 5:30 but I’m usually awake or even up from 4:30.
I layout warm slobby clothes by the bed , joggers, hoodie, thick socks, woolly hat and do as much as I can to prep my coffee and porridge the night before, and tidy up, just in case I have a late one and don’t feel like getting up , the first hour is hassle free |

Have you tried a sunrise alarm clock? Mine really helps in winter. |

Rarely an alarm as I normally wake up naturally quite early, then before opening my eyes I try to feel gratitude for lots of things from being able to sleep safely and warm to having my family in my life.
I normally do a 10-minute meditation, followed by my shower. |

Lots of snoozing. If I have to get up on my first alarm I'll usually sleep in jamas because I hate getting up and being instantly cold which is why I procrastinate so much. I don't like sleeping in clothes but needs must. |

I have but the room going light doesn’t help. It’s rarely dark in London, I don’t use blackout curtains and well I can sleep in the brightest of lights. Thanks for the suggestion though |

"Depends on what day it is.
Working day, 3 alarms at 6.30 and eventually wake up groggy at 'TOO FRICKIN EARLY'!!
Weekend, wide awake at 5am WTAF?!?! "
Weekend wakes up I was up at 7am.. SEVEN AM!! And whilst everyone else slept I went and walked the dogs. What was I thinking. Why was I up so early and why isn't it that easy during the week. |

Exact same for me. Rarely need the alarm clock and on the nights there I use it, I keep waking up and checking what time it is (I sleep like a log on normal nights) |

Having spent most of my working life in early start jobs sadly the early rise habit has stayed with me into retirement, my body clock dictates I rise at 5am, even at weekends
I have developed one routine in my twilight years, when I wake up I push my arms up towards the ceiling then out to each side, if I do not touch wood I know that I am still alive |

That’s disappointing. I feel your pain.
I had 3 months gardening leave about 10 years ago, and after 15 years of 6am starts I was really liking forward to some epic lie-ins. Imagine my disappointment when I realised that I was incapable of staying in bed past about 7am. |

Don’t reach down then! Might confuse matters |

When I was going into the office, I would get up as soon as my alarm hit.
Since working from home, hit the snooze a couple of times because my laptop is literally 6 feet away from me |

At my time of life there is nothing down below which would cause any confusion |

My morning largely depends on how unkind my insomnia was. Assuming I get to sleep when I should, I wake just before my alarm, listen to the radio for a few minutes and get up after the news.
If I haven't slept well or for long enough, I need my alarm and snooze once before dragging my exhausted carcass towards the bathroom and coffee. I actually wake up about an hour after that

I wake up to my first alarm, stare at the ceiling thinking up excuses not to go to work.
And then my 2nd alarm ten mins later, slapping me back into reality and I get up. |

Usually confused and angry
Walk into a few things on my way to the shower
Stand there contemplating is it worth going into work and murdering some dickhead gaffers….
Normal day right? |

I get awoken by the cat biting my nose about 2 minutes before my alarm goes off. Press snooze but she pesters and bites throughout the whole of my snooze. By then I need a wee so get up, piss, feed the cat, get back into bed for another snooze hiding from the cat. Wait for the alarm to go pff again, lie there staring at the ceiling allowing the impending doom of the day to wash over me. Throw the covers off for another minute or two so I am frozen. Then get up. Have a cup of tea. I hate waking up mornings |
