I "went off" Bond many years ago when I started to feel it was heavily pushing a increasingly jingoistic, British Nationalistic agenda.

I prefer the Bourne franchise for spy antics. Or Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy for old school stuff.

If they try to take 007 on a different direction it will kill the franchise.

No time to die was a great end to Daniel Craig's tenure..liked how all his films linked up together.

He was a superb bond.

Connery was great too ,his be being Goldfinger and from Russia with love.

The next actor to fill bonds shoes has got a mountain to climb following Daniel Craig.

I can't see the makers changing bond to be more woke.

He is a 35 yr old white male in the books

That'd be like the next actor to play miss Marple being a 19yr old 6ft 2mixed race Canadian man..would be woke but wouldn't work!

Same applies to James bond.

agreed can fault you, that why woke scares me, they want change, they will not make new, they want to change the old whats already out there. and how Craig bowed out tells me that kind of bond is over and I am beginning to understand why, still a shame though.

Bond will never be over. It's worth too much money and there are too many fans around the world for it to not be made anymore.

They can easily change the direction it goes in.

Any actor would love to be Bond, but it would take the right actor, it would be easy for the actor to get it very wrong.

Roger having the most fun in Octopussy. The most amusing Bond film with the most unthreatening, camp villain.

and then T Dalts in Licence to Kill.

Totally agree, but it was a spoof, therefore obviously unbelievable. Whereas the others purported to be "serious" films.....

Cheshire

The Spy who loved me, the beginning when he flies off the cliff and the Union flag is on his parachute

After that Casino Royale.

I must admit I like Roger Moore stint as Bond.

But Timothy Dalton could’ve been an amazing Bond. Shame he only got to do two films.
