Hey All,

Just looking for advice for locations to do photoshoots in South Wales. I'm a photographer who is building a portfolio in editorial and fashion as I have recently purchased some non-speedlite portable flash and they're fantastic. I'm looking for eerie forests, areas where heat inversions are present, abandoned buildings, lakes, beautiful plains and floral areas for shoots in spring. I'm looking for stylized images where clothing is the focus but as I do quite a lot of manipulation location is important. I have one model lined up but she is a city girl so could always use some local advice as I'm new-ish to the area. Also, if you're an aspiring model who has a big diverse wardrobe, hit me up. Anyone that may have done a shoot in the area, model or photographer, I would love to pick your brains.

Thanks in advance

Worthing

Are you close to the area where Bron-Yr-Aur is situated? It has an interesting history as that is where some of Led Zeppelin stayed for inspiration. It's still there.

Yeah I've heard of this place. Will have to check if you're allowed in or whether there's a way in. Red dress manor was also recommended to me but think that it's been sold now. Prob been done to death but the history of buildings like these makes a narrative for you

Cwmcarn Scenic Drive has a vast forestry area, a lot of cut down diseased trees make it a bit eerie, especially at night time. Lots of variety of plants, fungis, there's also a river and a reservoir there.
