Chelmsford

I just drove out of a Waitrose car park and was held at the junction. I gave way to at least a dozen cars carrying couples. I noticed that in every one of those. Ars that the man was driving and the woman in the passenger. What struck me was. Why has it taken so long to notice. What's going on here guys?

I don't enjoy driving and the hubby knows this, plus I think he's a better driver than me, can't speak for anyone else though

Somewhere near here

Is this a sly way of telling us you’re posh and shop at Waitrose?

I grew up seeing all the men in my life drive. I’ve always been the odd one and been the driver. To the point it’s been commented on.

It’s stressful for everyone when a woman drives

I always let the men drive me, I can't bear their screaming when I go a little bit off the road or save a bit of time reversing off the motorway.

My other half can't drive and I enjoy taking her places whilst she relaxes and chooses the music. It's a win/win for us.

?

There aren't many people that I feel comfortable being driven by...some people make me feel so unsafe that I'd rather make an excuse and take my own car than be driven anywhere by them. I love driving, and will be the driver whenever possible.

I let hubby drive so I can sit looking at fab the whole time

Honestly, I don’t enjoy driving so I’m happy for him to do the driving when we are together and he’s not a good passenger anyway. That’s with anyone, not just me. My driving isn’t that bad!

Kx

I can’t stand being in the passenger seat, either because I enjoy driving or the other person is a shit driver.. lol

Hate driving, just back from Stoke and the traffic was awful (so was the weather). Prefer riding a motorbike even in the rain.

So I’ll happily be a passenger in a car but never on a bike.

I (Mr) do all the driving because Mrs absolutely hates driving and has not driving since 2003. I am also a terrible passenger plus as I don't drink it means that Mrs can have a few drinks and we rarely have to mess about with taxis.

Question is…. Why has it taken you so long to notice? It’s an everyday occurrence, if a couple are going somewhere and both hold a license, then the man drives, just like it’s the man who opens the door…. If it were me, there’d be an argument as to who is driving, and possibly a murder too

Holding the door open, wouldn’t mind the women doing it once or twice but driving? Nope. I have to drive

I love driving but usually let Cal drive when we go somewhere together, as he doesn't like being a passenger.
