Done two episodes so far wow amazing
Still thing tom Cruz jack reacher was better but I may change my mind

I am really looking forward to this series.
I was so disappointed when Tom Cruise bought the rights and ran with it. He's about as far removed from Reacher as you can get. Given Reacher is described in every book, it isn't even left open to the reader's imagination.
I'm happy this series has gone with an actor closer to the books. And I hear from a friend who has watched a few that they've stuck closer to the books in storyline too. |

I knew it was coming out but didn’t realise it was now out to watch.
The guy who plays reacher also plays hawk in titans so cool actor.
As for versions to enjoy yeah the book character description is closer to the series than the cruise film but I also really enjoyed the films yes he looked nothing like reacher but the rest was cool. Even the series I think the guys to good looking to be reacher lol

I read quite a few of the Jack Reacher books. I didn't see any of the film's because it was Tom Cruise, in the books Reacher (I hate using surnames) was well over 7 foot tall and built like a lavatory made from bricks.
Alan Ritchson could easily be Jack Reacher.

A much better portrayal of Reacher this time around.
They love to show him looming over people in this. Couldn’t do that with little Tom.
His elbows get used a fair bit as well just how he likes it in the book

I'd never heard of the character, but a young and impressionable colleague had a bit of a Reacher crush from the books. When I told him Cruise was cast in the film role he was gutted. I nearly pissed myself laughing! |

I haven't had a chance yet to watch it though I'm really looking forward to it. When I saw the trailer i recognised Alan Ritchons face but couldn't place him... Then I remembered he played Aquaman in Smallville! |

When I first watched episode 1 of ozark I didn't like it, but on the off chance I saw it again and was hooked, also the boys on amazon was a good watch for me as well. |

Tom Cruise was a terrible choice for Reacher. Fortunately the story line carried the day.
Cruise is 5'6". Reacher is 6'5" and built like an ox.
In one of the films Cruise does stunts in a car. Reacher is an awful driver and has no licence. |

Tom Cruise was a terrible choice for Reacher. Fortunately the story line carried the day.

Screen media in general has a height problem. People who go into TV and movies seem to be disproportionately short. Even this Alan Ritchson guy’s only 6’ 2”, but he looks massive because most actors are below average height. |

Watched episode 1 and it’s nice how style of books there still think he too pretty for reacher lol but toward end of first episode I had see how long left as it felt go on forever so not sure if that good sign for me to enjoy but will push on later |

I've read most of the books, and according to the hubby I can't watch Tom Cruise in the films without saying totally cast wrong for Reacher. Watched the 2 episodes on Amazon and finally see the Reacher that I imagined. He ticks all the boxes |

Big Reacher fan here.
Read all the books (more than once) and love the format of the series covering one book per season.
It was confirmed renewed for season 2 on Monday too
Ritchson really is the Reacher I imagined when reading the books.
