Xx what does this mean xX ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Do you add kisses to all, most or none of your messages? Do you think they give the wrong impression to some people or is it just something you have always done and think nothing more of it? Please I would like to get your thoughts on giving and receiving kisses on messages. |

I always finish a message with xx
It’s a habit, christ I messaged my driving instructor the other day and true to form popped two kisses at the end, it’s just what I do.
I don’t mind messages that have a x - I don’t think about it really
Xx |

I use kisses instead of full stops a lot. I also have a habit of saying Hun, sweety etc a lot. For me it's just a natural thing to do. I'm trying to stop myself doing it as I'm aware people can interpret it as a come on. |

It depends who I'm talking to and how long we've been talking to. You will notice though that I have a habit of putting a x at the end of every comment x |

Kisses should ONLY be used on messages for lovers, family or really close friends.
I am not happy with how they crept into workplace messages. Sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes it's just downright creepy.
e.g. There is an extraordinary meeting after work this evening. ALL must attend. Reasons should be given before leaving work if you cannot attend a decision will be made by management as to whether your reason is acceptable. Anyone without a reason that is felt to be acceptable will be interviewed by H.R. during the following days work hours. xx |

When we first started texting each other officially at work - some would slip up and then follow up with .... Sorry for the x it's a habit.
There were lots of chats over breaks etc with people groaning..... I've just xx the boss - I feel ashamed - I feel stupid what should I do ?
It's not okay. It's unprofessional in work .... you can't use the Oh I didn't think argument or it's just a habit. Who would say Night cuddle bunny to the boss and not think themselves weird ? |

I'm with Granny. I don't even put kisses in messages to Mr KC on WhatsApp. I put emojis with kiss faces or something. Kisses as "x" I only really ever include in written communication, most often birthday cards or letters to close family members (not that anyone is now alive who I'd write to anymore..... ) |

I wish I had a boss now. It's so tempting to say night cuddle bunny. |

I guess I can understand the x as a way of being nice. But I get messages like "hello huge tits x" - the x doesn't make up for him being a rude twat.
Just saying. |

"I have to really think when I send a Teams chat especially on a 1-to-1 basis as they are quite similar to a text or WhatsApp message. "
But on a professional level, surely? I don't even sexy Teams Mr KC at work and we're colleagues! I WhatsApp other colleagues outside work, but we don't share anything |

bee uses a x at the end of her message, I(bear) don't.
When we are talking on here it makes it easy for the other person/ couple to identify who's talking as we share the account and profile pic.
Would be easier if you could have separate profile pics for a couples account when messaging. |

Yes always professional, but the chat facility seem very similar to text etc. I haven't out an X at the end of any messages in Teams.
I get lots of them every day from colleagues and students and I am terrified that I do it at some time. At least there is a delete function if I do. |

Me too I CAN NEVER work out if I am messaging my dying mother or the Managing Director.

The problem is something its hard to read a message because depending on how you feel you can take it which ever way you like, so just a x or a on the end your trying to show them you mean good. I just do it because it's habit now lol x ttfn hun |
