I saw a cyclist jump a temporary red light near the race course last week. He got shouted at by a bunch of race goers, turned round, gave the finger and then promptly hit a pothole and fell off.
Strangely, that got rather a large cheer from everyone 
It is the only time I have been grateful that Gloucestershire council are so shit at fixing the potholes. |

They should be pulled over and given a stern talking to, which should last no longer than 15 minutes, and which should involve the police person walking around the bike and tutting every now and then.
If they’re not carrying a bicycle pump they should definitely be fined for poor upkeep of a bike.
If they feel the need to give this talk to more than one cyclist they should deploy a loud speaker.
If cyclist gets lippy then throw them in the back of the police car and ramp up the sternness of the talking to.
After that? through the (Highway Code) book at them.
