Might be suit shopping tomorrow as got a couple of weddings coming up...its been a while!

Ladies especially, we know you love a man in a suit! Any tips on where to get a reasonably priced whistle and flute, and preference on colours?

Next or M and S. I prefer dark colours for a suit. Fit is the most important thing though, even the most expensive suit looks awful if it's badly fitted

I buy most of my suits from moss bros. They are reasonable priced. Have a range of colours but popular ones seem to be navy or grey. Three piece is my favourite. Don’t always wear the waistcoat but it does hide my middle aged belly now so that’s a good thing…

Yeah Next would be my first choice. Agreed on fit, most things look baggy on me! X

Our son is very slender, he bought a gorgeous suit in Next that fitted as if it had been made for him

Nothing worse than wearing clown pants to a wedding!

Cant normally go wrong with either of these too, although I always used to find that Next were great if you’re Mr SlimFit. M&S better if you’re Mr Regular fit.

Personally I think a good suit is an investment, I would spend a little more on tailoring and you can interchange the shirt choices, add a waist coat or wear the trousers with a shirt and braces to allow for multiple wears.

Ted baker, COS, Massimo Dutti are all mid range and do a better quality fit - M&S have some nice options too

Xx

I think it's a good idea to take someone with you who isn't afraid to tell you if you look like a fool.

Just don't get those awful skinny trousers that don't go past your ankles! They really don't look the best.

Think about what shoes you're going to wear too.

Dick brought his from independent trader, very high quality and 3 pieces less than £250.we could of had it altered for free.

Much nicer quality than ones we saw in M&S and next.

I’m lucky to be ‘Mr off the peg’ so any of the High St favourites work for me

Probably a tip for the future, but I tend to pick up a few suits at Bicester village from Boss, usually around end of year/start of the year sales.

You can also find some reasonably priced suits at the Savoy Tailors guild they have there as well. As someone else mentioned, a good suit is an investment, and if you wear regularly for work also really recommend buying 2 trousers per blazer.
