9 years later I still can't comprehend it. Why? He wanted me to? Did he gain satisfaction of having that tiny hold over me? He's lucky certain things are illegal in this country. (not husband before you all gather with pitchforks)

Shucks. That wasn't a question. Although I'm sure there were alot of questions fired back and forth that day.

She was 10 at time and hadn't seen her dad from 6yrs.

The step daughter messaged my daughter on fb messagener and told my daughter he did not love her.

We cried and it still breaks my heart thinking about it. She's 26 nearly.

My brother called me one night after a week of watching mum fade. He said “you know why I’m phoning, don’t you?”

Everyday someone had gone to sit with her at the care home. On that night my sister had been but left at 8.30pm, at 9pm a care worker had gone in to see her, she took a long breath, relaxed and that was it. She was 97.

One of mine was when I had to have one of my cats put down last year.

And the vet said to me do you want to be with her when she goes or not?

Of course I did, little did I know that because of the restrictions they were not allowed to give her the injection directly. Instead they had to give it to her via a long tube whilst she was on my lap in a towel, and she just looked up at me and then closed her eye's it broke my heart in so many pieces!!

“She’s not one of them, is she?”

Question asked by my ex mother in law, when I told her her three year old grandchild was being tested for autism. She meant children who went to a school for challenging behaviour. As it was my daughter’s needs were too profound and she needed specialist education, so that school was unsuitable anyway.

Her loss though, my daughter is awesome! Even if she isn’t a mathematical genius like everyone assumed she would be, lol- good old Rain Man meant everyone was an expert on autism x

My 9 year old son, when begging his grandparents to tell him why their son won't even talk to him.

"Your mother won't let him"

Absolutely, utterly and completely untrue. I spent many years trying to keep contact for my children and although they tell me they don't believe what they were told, they heard that lie when they were both children so there will always be doubt.

We all carry that with us and both my adult children feel abandoned by their father still.
